BBC Radio Drama Competition: African Performance 2010/2011

The 2011 African Performance playwriting competition is now closed and any further entries cannot be accepted. The scripts are now being assessed and the shortlist will be decided on in March. The winners will be published in April, and produced and broadcast in July. If you have any queries you can email them to african.performance@bbc.co.uk.
Mike Mware’s play is a charming story about a young girl who is selected to recite a poem in honour of her school's Golden Jubilee, which will be attended by the prime minister.
