The Met Office produces a certain number of forecasts for the UK. We then work with them to fill in the gaps to provide forecasts for more towns and all UK postcodes. Where there isn't a forecast available for your specific town, we will give you the nearest available forecast. So it's not misleading, we'll show you the real location for your forecast rather than the location you entered.
