Scoop of the century?

Photo

Europe is next test for weakened Obama

Born in Hawaii and raised partly in Indonesia, Obama — who lacks the instinctive European focus of his predecessors — has declared he wants to be America’s first “Pacific president.”

You keep using this line, but Obama will not produce a Valid Birth Certificate like my two children born there have.

Even the FAKE he pretends is real is a PROVEN lie and Forgery. BUT! Since you keep repeating this lie, do YOU have a Certified copy of his Real birth Certificate?

COMMENT

The election is over, Obama is president, there is no
provision in the Constitution to remove a seated president
for lying, fraud & the like. Use your energy on useful & real possibilities.

Backing the mosque?

Photo

Obama backs controversial New York mosque project

“As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country,” Obama said to applause at an event attended by diplomats from Islamic countries and members of the U.S. Muslim community.

It is flat-out dishonest to have a title that says “Obama backs controversial New York mosque project” but it is drawn directly from the dishonest story itself.

To reassert someone’s right to do something, is not the same as backing the specific project they choose to do. Are the reporters truly that stupid or is Reuters now a subsidiary of Drudge? You are doing his work for him. Pathetic.

COMMENT

In the original transcript the President specifically mentions “lower Manhattan.” You might want to ignore this, but to many people targeting a specific location pinpoints the exact location of the mosque in question. So, yes, it does put the President in the stance of backing the project.

How often is often?

Race issues beset Obama’s ‘post-racial’ presidency

Conservatives had linked the tape to the NAACP asking the conservative “Tea Party” political movement to denounce racism by some of its members. Images such as Obama with a bone through his nose and the White House with a lawn full of watermelons are often displayed at Tea Party rallies.

What exactly constitutes ‘often’ in this sentence? To most, it implies that these images are seen at a majority of the rallies. This has never been shown to be the case. That would make it a false statement and should be retracted.

I encourage you to retract that statement, or at the very least, alter the verbiage to give it some factual basis.

COMMENT

So does Reuters have reporters that attend Tea Party events? It seems necessary in order to accurately portray what occurs there. I frankly do not trust the word of Tea Partiers themselves, but also question the generalizations that seem to be made about them. If a reporter has seen racist signs, buttons, etc., then that is what should be in the story.

The secret dreams of presidents?

Photo

Obama has honor, and burden, of Nobel award

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Every U.S. president secretly harbors dreams of winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

I saw the headline about Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize. The reporter writing about the event starts off the article with pushing out his own opinion, that every U.S. president secretly longs to win a Nobel Peace prize.

How does he know this? He writes about it as if it is fact but it is totally unsubstantiated. Maybe he should back up that claim with interviews from every one of America’s past presidents saying “I want a Nobel Peace Prize”

COMMENT

Why is this columnist worried about the dreams of the Presidents. It is on record that Mr. Barack Obama never even thought of his nomination, then why all this issue. I think that the Nobel Peace Prize is in advance for the Thorny International Issues which he has to address being a President of USA. All Peace Loving People where ever they are must give their lending hands for this purpose.

Obama at U.N.

U.S. does not see settlement building as legitimate

Separately, Obama also said that the United States would now allow al Qaeda to launch attacks from safe havens in Afghanistan or any nation.

I think it should read, “the United States would NOT allow.”

James

COMMENT

I think the original sentence may be in in error but captures the reality of the policies of President Chamberlain far better.

Stating the obvious?

Photo

Uninsured Americans Hope Reform Brings Health Coverage

WITHOUT question the dumbest headline I’ve seen in my 65 years.

Now, if people where OPPOSED to getting free taxpayer provided health care, with no ellort on their part, THAT might be a headline. Stating the obvious is not a headline…….

Where is the coverage?

Photo

Obama warns against scare tactics over healthcare

Protesters in Washington brandished American flags and home-made signs venting their anger at Obama and the Democrats who control both houses of the U.S. Congress, accusing them of pushing the country toward bankruptcy with reckless spending.

“Taxed Enough Already!” one man shouted, while others listened to speakers and traded leaflets. The crowd appeared to be one of the largest rallies against Obama since he took office, although it did not come close to matching the turnout on the National Mall for his inauguration in January.

COMMENT

I guess there just weren’t enough of us protesting in Washington D.C. on the 12th of September. That must be it. After all, if Michelle Nichols can write a two-page article for Reuters on 300 liberals protesting the G20 in Pittsburgh then there must not have been more than five or six of us in D.C., else SURELY we would have been covered by the media. Guess we’ll need a slightly larger crowd next time, eh?

A niggling concern?

Photo

US housing, confidence data point to recovery

In addition, President Barack Obama nominated Ben Bernanke to a second term as chairman of the Federal Reserve, removing some niggling doubt from investors’ minds. The move promised a consistent approach to monetary policy in the years ahead.

My suggestion based on the story tonight on housing and consumer confidence pointing to recovery. My request is that the editor play a greater role in the reporter’s choice of words. It doesn’t seem to be coincidence anymore of the use of the word “niggling” in the same paragraph as President Obama is mentioned.

It’s gotten old. It’s gotten racist.

COMMENT

Niggling, wiggling, jiggling, giggling, higgling, rigging…. I think we should rid the English language of all words with double GG so as to stop this nonsense of implied racism.

Regret the remarks?

Photo

Obama looks to rebound from tough week

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Barack Obama will look to rebound from one of the most difficult weeks of his six-month presidency, one in which his legislative priority, healthcare, stumbled and he got caught up in a racial controversy.

The remark intensified the controversy and eventually forced Obama to back down in a surprise appearance in the White House press briefing room on Friday in which he said he regretted the remark.

The story above stated that Obama “regretted the remark.” I have yet to find a quote where Obama could be remotely accused of “regretting the remark.” Can someone at Reuters direct me to the quote/story where Obama expressed his “regret” as it pertains to his remark?

Sloppy mistakes…

Democrats expand Senate control, yet splits remain

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Democrats achieved their biggest majority in the U.S. Senate in decades on Tuesday as Al Franken of Minnesota finally took his seat — but President Barak Obama will still have to fight hard to muster the votes to pass healthcare reform and other major initiatives.

This article has Obama’s first name spelled wrong in the first paragraph. Boo!
