Drive from sea to sea but don’t stop to pee

The AA motoring group said it was unacceptable for drivers not to have anywhere stop for the toilet or a coffee for the entire 250 km (155 mile) journey between Ireland’s two biggest cities Dublin and Cork for example, even from a purely safety perspective.

Since when has Cork overtaken Belfast as Ireland’s second city?

Last time I looked Belfast was twice the size of Cork!!

Fans mobbed Apple’s overseas stores on Friday when the iPad went on sale in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Canada is not overseas! We see this quite a bit and it is infuriating!

Senegal’s “renaissance woman” faces cover-up

DAKAR (Reuters) – The skimpily-dressed female figure in Senegal’s giant monument to the “African Renaissance” faces a possible cover-up after the architect on Monday said he had proposed a remodeling to cover up her bare legs.

The giant group of man, woman and infant perched on a hill overlooking the capital Dakar is bigger than New York’s Statue of Liberty and is due to be inaugurated in April.

COMMENT

Her bare legs will be covered up but her exposed breast is perfectly ok as is. Hm, I guess it’s about priorities huh?

Venezuela murder-rate quadrupled under Chavez -NGO

With a murder rate of 140 per 100,000 citizens, Venezuela’s capital Caracas has the highest murder rate in South America, only exceeded in the hemisphere by Mexico’s Ciudad Juarez.

In your story you incorrectly state that Venezuela is in the same hemisphere as Mexico.

Venezuela is in the Southern Hemisphere and Mexico is in the Northern Hemisphere.
