Dr. Arun Kapil was mandated by the US Department of State's Africa Regional Services in to do a series of digital video conferences about the new Obama administration. The ten conferences where held during the month of January with audiences in African and Carribean capitals: Casablanca in Morocco, Tunis in Tunisia, Monrovia in Liberia, Bamako in Mali, Lusaka in Zambia, Kampala in Uganda, Conakry in Guinea, Tananarive in Madagascar, Port-Louis in Mauritius, and Port-au Prince in Haiti.

Under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State, Arun Kapil spent two weeks in the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Cameroon, giving lectures and media interviews on the American electoral process and current presidential campaign. Save
The Ph.D. program at AGS provides both roots and wings : essential skills needed to ask effective questions, negotiate problems, find solutions ; and the challenge to go out into the world acting firmly, fairly and consistently in creating opportunities.
