Working With DI

Contracting Mechanisms

Democracy International has worked extensively with the U.S. Agency for International Development as well as with other donor agencies, intergovernmental organizations, international NGOs, and consulting firms, and holds multiple contracting mechanisms. DI is a prime holder of two USAID indefinite quantity contracts: (1) Democracy and Governance Analytical Services, and (2) Elections and Political Processes (EPP). DI also holds the GSA schedule for Mission Oriented Business Integrated Service (MOBIS). DI is a subcontractor on USAID IQCs for Building Reform through Democratic Governance (BRDG) and Instability, Crisis and Recovery Programs (ICRP) as well as on USAID/Egypt’s Regional Democracy Initiative (REDI).

DI has also received grants from U.S. government agencies to conduct democracy and governance programs.

Opportunities

Democracy International regularly retains experts for short-term analytical services and technical assistance assignments as well as long-term overseas positions. For specific assignments please check our current openings. We encourage those interested to submit information about their qualifications to DI for consideration. We are interested in experts in Democracy and Governance, Analytical Services, and related International Development subjects, including:

We particularly value international field experience, post-graduate education, foreign language skills (especially Arabic, French, Spanish, and Russian), and experience with USAID or other international development agencies. Strong English-language oral and written communication skills are essential.
