Oil Rises in N.Y. After U.S. Data Prompts Optimism About Demand

Oil rose as much as 31 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $90.85 a barrel in New York after economic data prompted optimism about the outlook for fuel demand in the U.S. Crude traded at $90.80 at 11:17 a.m. in Sydney.
