Is The Violence In Your Home Harming Your Child?

Wednesday July 6, 2011

Children are the lost victims of domestic abuse. I receive emails from women who are living with domestic abuse in their marriage that are full of pain over what is being done to them. There is an internal conflict exhibited by the women I hear from..."do I leave him, do I stay?"

Very rarely do I hear from a woman who takes into consideration how the domestic abuse is impacting their children. I can understand the trauma that comes along with being abused and the possibility that such trauma can keep a woman from considering every aspect of the situation she is in. Yes, I suppose it is easy to forget that children in the home are victims of abuse also and should be the first consideration when deciding whether to leave an abuser or stay...post continued

Question: Why Can't my Husband Maintain an Erection?

I'm 34 and my husband is 30 years old. We have been married for 4 years and are having problems with sex in our marriage. For the last three years he has had a problem maintaining an erection when we have sex.

He has also become less interested in sex with me so the amount of sex we do manage to have has dwindled to less than once a month. I'm so frustrated sexually and emotionally over this and I have no idea what to do.

He refused to communicate with me about the problem or seeking advice from a doctor. I'm at the point of pulling my hair out. I'm a young woman and don't want to live the rest of my life without a fulfilling intimate relationship with my husband. Please help me!...post continued

Legal Aid or Free Legal Advice During Your Divorce

Thursday June 23, 2011

What is Legal Aid?

Each state has a legal aid office set up to assist people who cannot afford to pay for legal representation during a civil or criminal case. Basically legal aid is set up so that low-income folks can have access to equal justice despite their financial barriers.

If you need low-cost or free legal advice and meet the requirements you can find legal aid services in most states and communities. The waiting period can be long so don't wait until the last minute to contact your local legal aid society and start the process.

You will be assigned an attorney who has experience in divorce cases, child custody cases or domestic abuse cases.

Who Qualifies For Legal Aid?

Those people who meet the following guidelines are often eligible for free...post continued

Can The Irreconcilable Differences in Your Marriage be Reconciled?

Sunday June 19, 2011

The term "irreconcilable differences" came into use by the courts with the inception of no-fault divorce laws. The idea behind the concept of differences in a marriage that are "irreconcilable was to take the need for a spouse to blame the other of some wrong doing in order to divorce.

One definition I read said, irreconcilable differences are those which are determined by the court to be substantial reason for not continuing the marriage." In other words the courts will grant a divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable differences if it determines that the spouses can't...post continued
