    The House Homeland Security Committee hears testimony today  from Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano and Director of the National Counterterrorism Center Michael Leiter on "Understanding the Homeland Threat Landscape - Considerations for the 112th Congress."

    Counterterrorism experts point to several areas where there is room for improvement, such as the need to close Guantanamo Bay and the use of military tribunals. More »

    Kicking off his national book tour, Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld appears at Philadelphia’s National Constitution Center to talk about his new memoir, “Known and Unknown.”

    Mr. Rumsfeld plans to share previously undisclosed details on events during the Bush administration including the attacks on September 11, and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He will be interviewed by historian Michael Beschloss and take questions from the Constitution Center audience. More »
