LORAIN, Ohio -- A Lorain man was arrested over the weekend for DUI after telling police he was attempting to 'mow the sidewalk'.

According to a police report filed on the incident, Steve Urbansky, 46, of Lorain, was taken into custody after driving his car into a snow bank along Kentucky Avenue at 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

When the arresting officer arrived at the scene he saw Urbansky sitting in his vehicle and spinning the car's rear wheels, trying to free it from the snow.

According to the report, when police began speaking with Urbansky, he repeatedly told officers he was, "just trying to mow the sidewalk."

Urbansky told police he had been drinking at his house that evening. He was given a field sobriety test, which he failed.

After being placed in custody, police searched his car and found an opened can of beer in the glove box.

Ubansky has two previous DUI convictions stemming from an arrest in 1997 and 1999.
