WORCESTER  —  State education officials have invalidated the 2010 Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System test results for the Goddard School of Science and Technology, after a joint investigation of state and local officials that found Goddard teachers provided students with inappropriate coaching during testing. SHREWSBURY —  In a vote of 128-4 last night, a special town meeting authorized officials to take the next step toward a $19.2 million renovation and expansion of the town library. Town meeting thrust its support behind the project which has, in some form, been discussed or worked toward since 1998. (T&G;)

WESTMINSTER  —  A health care study of northern Central Massachusetts has found that residents have high mortality rates due to a variety of illnesses, drug overdoses, suicide and other violence. (T&G;)
SHREWSBURY  —  A man trying to avoid being arrested wrestled a state trooper across all three lanes eastbound lanes of Interstate 290 about 1:15 this morning. (T&G;)
BOSTON  —  The state Senate, which last year voted to ban texting while driving, is set to vote today on whether to ban texting while legislating. (T&G;)
