Rihanna to get 'loud' in Live Nation-produced tour

Rihanna

Rihanna clearly has no plans on resting anytime soon.

After selling out a 45-date European tour -- including six nights at London’s O2 Arena -- the singer announced she is bringing her “Loud” act to the States this summer, a year after her last arena trek.

The tour, in support of the singer’s album of the same name, follows last summer’s “Last Girl on Earth Tour,” which drew nearly 500,000 fans in 44 markets.

Produced by Live Nation, the North American summer tour will begin June 4 in Baltimore and stops in Los Angeles on June 28 with a date at Staples Center.

The flame-haired vixen is currently making headlines after her steamy video “S&M” was restricted by YouTube for being too racy, and banned in 11 countries. The sex-fueled song, in which she sings about her fondness of the smell of “sex in the air” and how “chains and whips excite" her while withering in hot pink latex, prompted an airplay ban before 7 p.m. on BBC 1 Radio, unless it’s the severely cleaned up version, “Come On.”

Rihanna is slated to perform at the Grammys on Sunday, where she is up for four trophies, including record of the year for her smash collaboration with Eminem, “Love the Way You Lie.”

Tickets for the tour go on sale to the public on Monday.

British soul singer Adele preps summer U.S. tour

Adele The last time U.K. songstress Adele graced a stateside stage was a 2009 set at the Hollywood Bowl, which despite some flubbed lyrics and band restarts, The Times praised her effortless voice.

The 22-year-old will have the chance to make up for that last showing when her summer headlining tour, which she announced Monday, rolls through L.A. on June 9 at The Wiltern.

In support of her critically acclaimed sophomore album “21,” out stateside Feb. 22, the tour will kick off in Washington, D.C. on May 12 and run through June 20 in Nashville.

Released overseas, “21” hit No. 1 in a handful of countries, including the U.K., Ireland, Germany, Holland, New Zealand, Switzerland, Austria and Belgium.

“21” logged 208,000 copies in its first week in the U.K. -- making it the biggest-selling January release in five years, since the Arctic Monkey's “Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not” in 2006.

The album’s first single, “Rolling in the Deep,” is enjoying a nice wave of buzz with critics and currently sits in the top spot on VH1’s “Top 20 Countdown.”

Tickets go on sale to the public Feb. 11 with a presale beginning Wednesday on her official site.

John Legend to pair up with Sade for summer tour

Sade_john

Sade, which is prepping its first tour since 2001, has announced that soul crooner John Legend will join the band on its 50-date summer trek.

The tour, which is in support of last year’s critically acclaimed “Soldier of Love” -- the band’s first in a decade -- begins June 16 in Baltimore.

The Live Nation-produced tour will make a handful of stops in the Southland area, playing Staples Center on Aug. 19 and 20. Because of demand, a third date has been added at Anaheim’s Honda Center for Aug. 30.

Legend is nominated for five Grammy Awards for “Wake Up!,” his joint work with the Roots, and Sade is up for two awards at Sunday's ceremony: Best pop performance by a duo or group with vocals for its hit “Babyfather” and best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocals for “Soldier of Love.”

“Soldier of Love” has logged more than 1 million sales in the U.S.
