Today's Poll Question

POLL: Do you support tax credits for people who work from home?

U.S. Rep. Rob Wittman, R-Westmoreland, is introducing legislation that would provide tax credits up to $1,000 for "teleworkers" who do their jobs from home. Wittman says the tax breaks are a reward because working from home increases productivity and reduces traffic. What do you think?

  • I'm in favor of it. This is simply keeping up with new technology, and it really does reduce traffic on our overcrowded interstates.
  • I'm against it. Why should someone get a tax break for hanging out at home all day in his or her pajamas and slippers?
  • He had me at "tax break." I will support any proposed tax cut or tax break, no questions asked.
  • Shouldn't we hold off on any quirky new tax breaks until we get the national debt under control?
  • No way. My boss won't let me work from home, and I'm too jealous of others to let them get a tax break for something that I'm not allowed to do.
