Centre Island - Green Space and Fun is a Ferry Ride Away

Saturday July 2, 2011
Centre Island is a great trip for anyone wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, but maybe most so for families with young children.

Centre Island's most popular attraction is the Centreville Amusement Park, which features more than 30 rides and games. The best part of this park - at least for parents with young kids - is that it is geared towards kids under 12. Rides are meant to amuse more than scare. (Check out Canada's Wonderland for more intense thrills.)

Happy Canada Day!

Friday July 1, 2011
July 1 is Canada Day. Across the country, people are chilling beer, preparing burgers for the barbecue and otherwise getting ready to party with friends to celebrate Canada's birthday. Canada Day celebrations also include parades and firework displays.

Ottawa has the biggest Canada Day celebration, that starts with a parade, includes an RCMP musical ride, concerts, and caps off with a fireworks display. This year's special guests are their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, better known as Will and Kate, who are on their first official tour as a married couple in Canada.

Vancouver - Would You Still Visit?

Thursday June 16, 2011

By now, you've likely heard about the craziness that went on last night in Vancouver following the loss of the Vancouver Canucks to the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The riot looked pretty frightening, but does it affect the way you feel about visiting the city?
