Cutting Circles on the Rockwell Blade Runner

Sunday December 19, 2010
Cutting a Circle with the Rockwell Blade Runner I recently needed a 10-inch plywood circle for a simple project. While I normally would cut such a circle on my using a band saw equipped with a circle cutting jig, I wanted to see if I could use the same idea to cut out the small circle on the Rockwell Blade Runner.

While I probably would prefer to use the band saw for this task on a regular basis, I was pleased with the results from the BladeRunner. If you have one of these unique woodworking tools, or are considering buying one, take a look at these steps for creating a Circle Cutting Jig for the Rockwell Blade Runner.

Where to Get The Answers to Your Woodworking Questions

Friday December 17, 2010
One of my favorite parts of writing about woodworking is being able to interact with other woodworkers from around the world. Woodworking seems to have a helpful community, with woodworkers willing to share their favorite tips and tricks with other woodworkers.

The About.com Woodworking Forum is a great resource where you can ask questions when you can't find the answers anywhere else. While the answer to your query may be found in the rather extensive forum archives, it doesn't hurt to post your question, as you'll likely be swarmed with ideas from other woodworkers who have faced your problem or dealt with your issue before.

The forum is available from any page on woodworking.about.com. Stop by, create a free profile and post your questions, answer other questions, or even share ideas for articles or projects you'd like to see on the site.
