• Current Consensus (Mean): The average of all current estimates received from analysts for the stated time period. Mean is calculated for two fiscal years and two quarters. Both current and previous statistics are based on all analyst estimates where applicable
• Highest Estimate: The highest of all current individual earnings estimates for the stated period.
• Lowest Estimate: The lowest of all current individual earnings estimates for the stated period.
• Number of Analysts Surveyed: The total number of analysts contributing recommendations for the stated period.
• Year-Ago Reported Earnings: The company’s actual reported earnings per share figures one year ago for the specified period.
• Current vs. Year-Ago Change: Percent difference between First Call’s current consensus estimate for the stated period and the company’s year-ago actual reported earnings per share.
• Median Estimate: The middle estimated earnings per share value above and below which lie an equal number of estimates for the specified quarter and/or fiscal year.
• Standard Deviation: The positive square root of the variance. A statistical measure of the degree to which an individual value in a probability distribution tends to vary from the mean of the distribution. It is widely applied in modern portfolio theory. The greater the degree of dispersion, the greater the risk.
• Report Date: Projected report date based on timing of the company’s prior-quarter reporting.
• Current Consensus (Mean): Current average of all revised earnings estimates for specified quarter and/or fiscal year.
• Last Week’s, Last Month’s, 2 Months Earlier, 3 Months Earlier Mean: Average of all earnings estimates as of the given time period.
• Upward Revisions in Last Week, Last Month: The total number of upward earnings estimate revisions received for a given company during the last 7 or 30 days.
• Downward Revisions in Last Week, Last Month: The total number of downward earnings estimate revisions received for a given company during the last 7 or 30 days.
• Estimate: The analysts’ quarterly earnings projection prior to the company’s reporting of their actual earnings.
• Actual: The company’s actual reported quarterly earnings per share for the given time period.
• Difference-Actual vs. Estimate: The percent difference between analysts’ consensus estimate of quarterly earnings per share and the company’s actual reported quarterly earnings per share.
• Mean Estimate – Company: The average of all analysts’ estimates of earnings per share as of the given time period.
• Company, Current vs. Year Ago: Percent difference between the company’s current consensus estimate for the stated period and its year-ago actual earnings.
• Mean Estimate – Industry: The average of all estimates for the Industry with which the company is associated.
• Industry, Current vs. Year-Ago Change: Percent difference between the industry’s current consensus estimate for the stated period and its year-ago actual earnings.
• Mean Estimate – Sector: The average of all estimates for the Sector with which the company is associated.
• Sector, Current vs. Year-Ago Change: Percent difference between the sector’s current consensus estimate for the stated period and its year-ago actual earnings.
• P/E on Calendar Year Mean: The company’s Price/Earnings ratio, calculated by dividing the stock’s latest closing price by the calendar-year consensus earnings estimate.
• PEG on Calendar Year Mean: The company’s Price/Earnings ratio, based on a calendar-year mean estimate, divided by the five-year future earnings growth rate.
