Kudos, I have no problem with Muslims running for office.As long as they embrace western values and not Koranic or sharia values If Muslims wish to import.Koranic values, they should immigrate to Somalia, or Saudi Arabia where they are embraced. We in the West embrace liberty, free enterprise, democracy, religious rights,woman rights. Sharia is the antithesis to all these.They seem like good people, I hope they embrace western values.
@evamerlie the funny thing is that back in their own countries major part of them have ZERO tolerance towards people having different beliefs, when they move to other countries they beg for being accepted and as soon as they are they start to find reasons of being hateful towards those who gave them hospitality.
Ive always thought that they are the true racist, perhaps a religious racism but the certain thing is that they dont want to be accepted they considered themselves better than others..
@evamerlie I think you are right. The point is you never understand completely if they are naive n follow blindly their scriptures or if they just take advantages of the country where they go by being very smart. In a way they are very decisive asking the same rights other citizens have and so on, job positions, educations and such. On the other hand they form their own communities in the social subtrate keeping distance from the society they wanna be part of (according to them of course)
Religious tolerance..well ..if only they practice in their life the world would be a better place ...I hope they do ...It's a fact and their holy book tells them "non believers should be ....." .sorry no hard feelings . I only radiate my democratic feelings. It's better if they blend with fellow citizens.
