Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak left Riyadh heading to Kuwait on wednesday after holding talks with Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdula Aziz.

President Mubarak arrived in Riyadh on Tuesday on a two-day visit to the kingdom within the context of a regional tour that includes a number of Gulf states.

The Saudi monarch held talks with Mubarak late on Tuesday on different Arab, Islamic and international issues.

The developments of the Palestinian issue and the progress of the Middle East peace process topped the session of talks between the two leaders, which was also attended by Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit earlier told Al Arabiya that Mubarak's visit to the kingdom reflects Egypt's worries over the security of Saudi Arabia, in light of the Houthi attacks on the Saudi borders.

Riyadh said on Tuesday that at least 73 of its troops had been killed in fighting against Yemeni rebels since November, but the war was nearly over.
