The New York Times

In his annual selection of the year’s best magazine essays, The Sidney Awards, New York Times columnist David Brooks signled out Karen Kornbluh’s “Families Valued” from Issue #2 for particular praise.

Brooks calls the awards “a nice way to honor the best magazine essays of the year and to pass along a few nutritious holiday reading recommendations. But if you spend a few weeks poring over the highlights from a year’s worth of magazines, you also get a window on the spirit of the times.” Read the entire article here.
