Law & You Sri Lanka Day

While the country holds more space in one’s mind as the ‘pearl of the Indian ocean’ (enchanting travelers from the time of Ibn Batuta) for its scenic beauty, Sri Lanka has also established itself as a priority destination when it comes to investments and trading.
From misty mountains to the industrialized cities with bustling nightlife, Sri Lanka has been long regarded as a prime tourist destination for the prudent traveler; yet the 25-year civil war and the attached security concerns dented many tourists’ plans to visit the ‘Pearl of the Indian Ocean’.
Sri Lanka is world-renowned for its high quality teas.
All Sri Lankans now have the opportunity to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of independence with much glory. The unlimited sacrifices for the freedom and independence of Sri Lanka make today’s Independence Day celebrations one of great honor.
Sri Lanka celebrates the 63rd anniversary of her independence on Feb. 4 with high expectations of a bright future for the country.
It’s gem of a place for precious stones
Many are drawn by the ‘island charm’ of Sri Lanka, its natural resources and its proud population. Sir Arthur C. Clarke, author of “2001: A Space Odyssey,” described it as the best place in the world from which to view the universe.
Craftsmen, handicrafts under spotlight
Sri Lanka makes exquisite handcrafted products for tourists as well as for export. At present, a large number of craftsmen are engaged in the production of traditional souvenirs and innovative utility items.
Trajectory of ties between Colombo, Riyadh excellent
On the occasion of Sri Lanka’s 63rd Independence Day, I consider it an honor to extend fraternal greetings to the Sri Lankan expatriate community in Saudi Arabia.
Lankan Consulate always at service of compatriots
On this auspicious occasion of 63rd National Day of Sri Lanka, I convey my warm greetings and best wishes to all Sri Lankans and persons of Sri Lankan origin residing in the western region of Saudi Arabia.
