Morocco and the Mauritanian Coup

August 14th, 2008 by Adam

Kal at The Moor Next Door has an interesting analysis of Morocco’s position towards Mauritania’s coup, which it has taken a favorable attitude towards. Morocco’s attempts to cultivate a positive relationship with the junta are an attempt, “…to cultivate a favorable disposition in the regime presently in place so that when the rest of the world does reconcile with the junta, which would ideally take place by way of Morocco, the Mauritanians will have to pay the Kingdom back in some manner or the other.”

In other coup related news, the EU threatened Mauritania’s junta with international isolation unless it restored institutions to how they were before the coup. The EU issued a statement saying, “The EU warns the military junta that the country faces the serious risk of long-lasting isolation from the international scene.”

The moor next door, is are Algerian, ‘the moors are Moroccans simply’ and as a good Algerian ‘the moorND’ he is simply defending the political corruption of his country, Mauritania was a part of Morocco, check history, so morocco have all the interest of the world to keep his southern negbhour peacfull because any war will bring terrorists and refugies, ( i think that mauritanias will prefer in case of civil war to go to morocco instead of going to Senegal’ you have to be smarter, when you read news coming from an algerian who show his high heat the the moroccan gouvernement instead fighting agaisnt his own country junta, so i don’t feel that this guy reveald any top secret info, simply he wrote some guesses, like thier chiefs in the top algerian gouvernement!
the position of algeria toward this issue is clear, they wanted to get support for the moroccan sahara issue (i don’t have to remind you that algeria is behind all the instability in this region) Mali Niger and Morocco, so it’s not a surprise to get fabulations and empty of meaning analysis.

The moor next door is an Algerian, ‘the moors are Moroccans simply so why he borowed this name??’ and as a good Algerian ‘the moorND’ he is simply defending the political corruption of his country, Mauritania was a part of Morocco, ‘check history’, so morocco have all the interest of the world to keep his southern negbhour peacfull, because any war will bring terrorists and refugies to the doors of morocco, ( i think that mauritanias will prefer in case of a civil war to go to morocco ‘more rich, and colturaly compatible’ instead of going to Senegal’ you have to be smarter! when you read somthing coming from an algerian about morocco, ->when you read news coming from an algerian who show his high heat the the moroccan gouvernement, instead of fighting agaisnt his own country military junta, so i don’t feel that this guy reveald any top secret info, simply he wrote some guesses, like thier chiefs in the top algerian gouvernement told him to do!
the position of algeria toward the moroccan sahara issue is clear, they wanted to get support agaisnt moroccan sahara issue (i don’t have to remind you that algeria is behind all the instability in this region by supporting separatists and terrorists)e.g Mali Niger and Morocco, so it’s not a surprise to get fabulations and empty of meaning analysis ‘full of imaginary thinking’.
