Future Tense - Global Assets

How do aid-dispensing governments and organizations support people in need without succumbing to the bureaucratic bottlenecks? Using technology can accelerate these efforts by delivering aid directly to the poor, via electronic transfer.

These foreign aid and technology issues were recently explored in an article appearing in Slate and they will be up for discussion 4 p.m. Thursday at a special Future Tense/Global Assets Project event at the New America Foundation.
