Bieber had a very happy birthday indeed!

On Tuesday, Justin Bieber celebrated turning 17 with a special someone: Selena Gomez.

Two days after the couple publicly debuted their romance at an Oscars afterparty, Bieber and the Disney starlet, 18, went high-end shopping in Beverly Hills, hitting D&G, Louis Vuitton and other boutiques. See more photos from The Biebs' birthday outing.

Bieber and Gomez were finally unabashed about their mutual affection during their outing: They held hands and even leaned in for several intimate, sexy hugs.

Later on, the duo stopped by a Pinkberry, and reportedly grabbed dinner at L.A. eatery Maggiano (according to photos at PopSugar).

"I'm probably just going to chill for my birthday," Bieber said during a Monday radio interview on SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up. "No party or anything. I just want to relax. I have four days off; I want to chill."

He and Gomez certainly had a whirlwind weekend: On Saturday, they spent the night in the penthouse suite at the five-star St. Regis Monarch Beach resort; the next night, they arrived hand-in-hand at the Vanity Fair Oscars bash.

    @ Alyshia Radia- Actually, Selena turns 19 in July. TWO years. But you can't really blame Selena for being a cougar. There's no one else around in Hollywood for her to date. Besides the age difference, Justena is kinda growing on me.

    okay seriously everyone? this is a magazine website. so although their facts are true, that doesn't mean they don't leave out or embellish information to make the story juicy. so stop your pointless rants about bad parenting, him setting a bad example, and all the other claims you're making and realize hes a teen, his mom or scooter braun were probably in the room as well, and i doubt this has made his younger girl fans ask their parents to check into a hotel with a boy.

    yeah - I am in complete agreement with Jerri Brown - he is 17! Not even old enough to rent a hotel room! This is NOT a good example for his fans, I am not saying they should not date and be normal teens,I like both of these two artists, but where are the parents, where is their guidance, where are the "well grounded morals"?? Why is this acceptable - just because they are famous?
