Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies

Admissions

Overview

Admissions decisions for Georgetown's School of Continuing Studies are made on a rolling basis for all programs except the Doctor of Liberal Studies. All admissions decisions are need blind and based on an overall view of the applicant and their match to their intended major. Previous GPA, academic courses, experience, essay, recommendations and other documents are all considered. As we take a very holistic approach to reviewing admissions, standardized test scores are not required for any of our programs. As a Jesuit institution, we are looking at applicants as a whole person and therefore consider all parts of their application and background as part of the admissions decision. We hope in reviewing admissions files that we find students who are a good fit for Georgetown and in turn see Georgetown as a good fit for their goals in both the classroom and life.

The School reviews applications without regard to, and does not discriminate on the basis of, age, color, disability, family responsibilities, familial status, gender identity or expression, genetic information, marital status, national origin, personal appearance, political affiliation, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, source of income, veteran's status or any other factor prohibited by law in its educational programs and activities.

The Office of Admissions encourages students to apply as early as possible for the intended semester of enrollment. We are available to answer questions and help you through the process. We are excited that you are interested in Georgetown's School of Continuing Studies.
