Feb. 17-26:  Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2011. Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships is all set for Feb. and the tournament is even better than ever! Timings differ per match but the prices are set at AED 150

 

Feb. 23-26: The 80's Rocked Concert in First Group Theatre, Jumeirah. You know all of the words, you have perfected the air guitar and now it is time to pay homage to the legends that are Guns’N’Roses, AC/DC, Queen, Aerosmith and tear the House Down! The concert starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are priced at AED 140.

 

Feb. 24: ATELIER & CHI present Jay Sean — Live in Dubai. Enough said. Gates open at 9 p.m. till 3 a.m. Entrance is AED 150.

 

Feb. 25: iLL Communications Presents: Thomas Schumacher (Get Physical) at Trilogy. Thomas Schumacher has always been – and continues to be – an eclectic DJ and producer, with a strong foundation in Detroit techno and House music. Tickets are priced at AED 100 (Regular) and AED 130 (VIP). Gates open at 10 p.m.

 

Feb. 25: Livin The Music Series — Feb. Edition. Eric Hutchinson with special acoustic performance by James Walsh of Starsailor at Barasti. Tickets are priced at AED 225. Gates open at 6 p.m.

 

Feb. 28: The Kathakbox at Centrepoint Theatre, Barsha.  Kathakbox is the latest production from the acclaimed Sonia Sabri Company and celebrates the unique, diverse energy of modern Britain through a brand new dance style: Urban Kathak. Tickets are priced at AED 100.

 

March 1- 5: Dubai International Boat Show 2011 takes place in Mina Seyahi for the price of AED 55.

 

March 2-3: The Laughter Factory. The line-up for this month: Andy Askins, Jo Caulfield and Joe Rowntree. First day at JamBase, Dubai, and the second at Marriot Courtyard at Green Community. Show starts 9 p.m. and tickets are priced at AED 115.

 

March 3: Edward Maya Desert Rain Tour at Nasimi Beach. Edward Maya is coming back to our shores once again as part of the Desert Rain Tour. Entrance is AED 150 for everyone from 8 p.m. onwards.

 

March 4: Bow Wow in Dubai at Chi Garden, The Lodge. Tickets range from AED 100 (Regular) to AED 300 (MEET & GREET). Event starts at 9 p.m.

 

March 3-5: Taste of Dubai at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. Taste of Dubai returns this March with an incredible lineup of restaurants and celebrity chefs, including Jun Tanaka. There will also be a brand new Entertainment Stage, in association with Time Out, playing host to Vibrancy, the much-loved band from JAMBASE, plus many more acts including Radio 1 & 2 DJs. If you love food, drink and music, you'll love Taste of Dubai! Prices range from AED 60 to AED 200 and will take place from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.

 

March 8-12: Emirates Airline Festival of Literature 2011 at the Intercontinental Hotel.

 

March 10: Usher in Concert at the Dubai Media City Amphitheater. American singer-songwriter and actor, Usher will be in Dubai for a concert, as part of his OMG World Tour. This is the first-time the R&B singer will have a concert in the region. Tickets will range from AED 295 (Regular) to AED 995 (OMG VIP Lounge).

 

March 11: iLL Communications Presents: Depeche Mode (Andy Fletcher) at Trilogy.

Andy Fletcher has spent his recent downtime between DM albums touring extensively as a DJ. He has played at various festivals including Creamfields, Pukkelpop, Sonar and Get Loaded. Starting from 10 p.m. onwards, and ticket prices range from AED 150 to AED 200.

 

March 11: SANDANCE by Nasimi Beach with 2manydjs, Roger Sanchez, The Brand New Heavies, Sander Kleinenberg, Fragma & Sneaky Sound System at Nasimi Beach, Atlantis Palm Jumeirah. Tickets are priced at AED 150 (Regular) and AED 300 (VIP), and gates open at 2 p.m.

 

March 11: Threadneedle Dubai Gold Cup 2011

International polo teams from around the world will be competing for the Gold Cup on March 11, the final day of this 12-15 handicap (open) tournament. Featuring something for the whole family, gates will open at 10 a.m. Tickets range from AED 150 to AED 300.

 

March 16: Art Dubai 2011 at Madinat Jumeirah. Dubai’s premier art exhibition features galleries and artists from around the globe.

 

March 18: Livin The Music Series — March Edition; The Streets Live in Dubai at Barasti. Entrance is AED 225. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 9:30 p.m.

 

March 25: Mehdi Hassan tribute concert in Dubai at The Address Dubai Marina. The “King of Ghazal”, Pakistani ghazal singer and artist Mehdi Hassan will be the chief guest. Other honorary guests will include: Javed Sheikh, Devanand, and Gulzar, according to the event promoter, Orbit International. Maestros performing will be Talat Aziz, Roopkumar Rathod, Asif Mehdi Hassan (son of Mehdi Hassan), and Sohail Najmi. Ticket prices range from AED 250 (Platinum) to AED 1000 (VVIP). Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 9 p.m.

 

March 30: Opera In The Park at Wafi Rooftop. Wafi’s much-loved Opera in the Park will return with British opera singers, Foley and Hepburn. Tickets are priced at AED 145.
