Amphibians
More amphibian species are under threat than any single animal group.

Birds
Of the nearly 10,000 described bird species, over 1,200 are listed as threatened or endangered.

Fish
Overfishing, habitat loss and pollution is likely the leading cause of fish declines.
Invertebrates
Invertebrates account for 97 percent of all animal species.

Mammals
Twenty percent of known mammal species are thought to be threatened or endangered.

Reptiles
Habitat loss appears to be the major issue facing reptiles, judging by those species surveyed.
