Contrasting weather for Australia
Australia is seeing large variations in weather, with a record warm spell on the east coast and flooding in the south west. Nina Ridge explains.
A new free telephone warning system will let people across Scotland know when their area is at risk from flooding. Prince William visits parts of Victoria that have been devastated by floods, on the last leg of his tour. Warm weather appears to have encouraged parasitic ticks to emerge earlier than last year, a hillwalking body says. Coastguards warn people about high spring tides after a number people are rescued from beaches in Cornwall.
