IN ASSOCIATION WITH

Although spring weather continues to prevail in Europe, there has been fresh snowfall this week. The warmer temperatures did cause some rain to fall on lower slopes but as much as 30cm was reported on the higher slopes.

France has had a good week in terms of snowfall. Many resorts reported fresh snow this week. The most was in the Espace Killy where 30cm of snow fell on Wednesday 30th March. In general, the higher slopes are holding up much better thanks largely to this new snow.

Conditions are still good in Italy although more spring-like than last week. The region saw some snow fall this week and more is forecast in the east next week.

The slopes in Switzerland are also in good shape. Just like other regions of Europe, snow landed on the higher areas, freshening up the upper slopes nicely.

Austria has been relatively dry this week although a few areas received some light snowfall. The low overnight temperatures are keeping the higher slopes in good condition and in the morning they are hard packed before softening throughout the day.

Squaw Valley and Heavenly are enjoying the spring weather that has followed the snowstorms. Conditions are great and there is plenty of snow to last in this warmer weather.

More snow fell in British Columbia, particularly the interior. Big White, Sun Peaks and Revelstoke all received good dumps of snow this week and conditions are great, particularly further up the mountain at Revelstoke.
