The Vote Goes On: Barbecue & Grilling Readers' Choice Awards

Friday February 25, 2011

We passed 30,000 votes yesterday and the race to the top continues to March 8th when the polls close and votes get added up. So how's your favorite Barbecue & Grilling Product doing?

In the race for best Charcoal Grill Big Green Egg is still struggling to keep up with Carson Rotisseries. This has been neck and neck, but the Egg just doesn't seem to be able to catch up. Over in the Gas Grill category the Weber Genesis E-320 has slowly been gaining on leader The Holland Legacy. The Cookshack Smokette continues to hold the lead in the Backyard Smoker group but Big Green Egg and the Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker are gaining. The Fast Eddy FEC-100 is still in the lead amongst Competiton Cookers but there is still plenty of time for one of the other nominees to rally. The Barbecue Sauce category has really heated up as fans of Blues Hog Original barbecue sauce rallied to take the lead from Uncle Sunny's. And in the Barbecue Rub remains a fight between Bad Byron's Butt Rub and Dizzy Pig's Dizzy Dust.

Remember you can vote every day until March 8th.

New Review: Napoleon Prestige II Gas Grill PT308RB

Tuesday February 22, 2011

the Prestige II line of Napoleon gas grills. The upgraded features over the Prestige I includes stainless steel rod cooking grates, stainless body panels, and a full rotisserie system including infrared rotisserie burner. For a little over $1,000USD you get high quality construction and components in a small grill, actually a pretty small grill. This is actually one of the smallest of the 3-burner grills on the market, but it is powerful and built to last.
