I enjoy crocheting jewelry. There are so many interesting things you can do with it; plus, jewelry projects tend to be small and quick to crochet.
Here are a couple of free tutorials for crocheting necklaces. I hope you will find them helpful.

Cute New Baby Hat Pattern - Photo © Erica Jackofsky
For preemies, babies and toddlers -- This crocheted baby hat is just as cute as can be. It's a little cloche that sort of resembles a tulip. The design and pattern are by Erica Jackofsky.
Erica crocheted her sample hat in a variegated colorway of Red Heart Super Saver. It's an affordable project, using only a small amount of yarn -- ideal for charity crochet efforts, but also great to make for the babies in your own family.
This is the perfect design for those days when you're thinking spring but it's still too cold to let a little one go out without a hat on.

Mary Beth says,
"I met a lady yesterday at my local yarn store. Her name is Ann (I didn't catch her last name.) Ann told me there is a way to knit using a crochet hook. She wasn't able to explain the technique to me clearly, and I would really like to know how to do this. Can you help?"

Beautiful Beaded Bauble to Crochet - Photo © Erica Jackofsky
I find beads irresistible, don't you? They're beautiful all on their own, but when you combine them with crochet the results can be spectacular.
Erica Jackofsky's beaded rosette is a perfect example of a beautiful project you can make by combining crochet with beads.
