Rebels Reported Killed in Coalition Air Strike
Rebels fighting the pro-government forces in Libya claim that 13 of their fighters and seven civilians were accidentally killed in a coalition air strike near Brega, one of a string of oil towns along the coast that have been won and lost by the opposition in recent weeks.

Killings at Afghan Protest at Quran Burning
Five civilians were killed and dozens were injured Friday in the Afghan city of Kandahar, while seven United Nations workers were killed in the northern city of Mazar-i Sharif during demonstrations in which hundreds of people took part protesting against the burning of a Quran in the US. Gunfire was heard and cars were set on fire.

Ivory Coast Violence Claims 800 Lives
According to the International Committee of the Red Cross, ICRC, 800 people were reported killed during intercommunal violence in the western town of Duekoueone town in Ivory Coast last Tuesday as fierce fighting between fighters loyal to Alassane Ouattara, the country's internationally recognised leader, and others who support Laurent Gbagbo, the country's incumbent President continues to grip the country.
