Are our mornings with Meredith Vieira coming to an end? According to TV Guide, the Today show host may just be leaving the show she joined in 2006.

Insiders say that, though NBC executives are doing their best to convince Vieira to stay, the combination of the early morning hours and caring for her ill husband is taking its toll on the host. Vieira re-signed with NBC last year, keeping her on Today at least through September 2011.

Vieira has been vocal about the possibility of moving on. In October, she told Ladies Home Journal, "I'm not afraid to go, and I'll know when it's time to go."

NBC is keeping mum on the talk, only saying, "The Today show anchors are currently under contract and firmly in place."

If Vieira does leave, sources say Ann Curry will most likely fill the spot opposite Matt Lauer. Four years ago Vieira was chosen to replace Katie Couric, who moved on to the CBS Evening News (and is now leaving there, as well).
