Second Deputy Prime Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud chaired a meeting in Riyadh last night of the Ministerial Committee tasked with implementing the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to assist those affected by last week’s flooding in Jeddah Province. At the outset, Prince Nayef stressed the great responsibility shouldered by the Committee to provide all necessary reinforcements to reduce damages, provide aid and assistance to victims, and compensate their heavy losses. He noted that the Committee, comprised of high ranking officials, will carry out a fact-finding mission to identify and punish any examples of negligence that may have exacerbated the natural disaster, in order to prevent the recurrence of damage to people and property.
