Deleting Web History

Deleting Web History from your Google Account will erase all items from your Web History and stop your Web History from being recorded in the future. Instead, you might want to remove individual items.

You can delete information from Web History using the remove feature, and it will be removed from the service. However, as is common practice in the industry, and as outlined in the Google Privacy Policy, Google maintains a separate logs system for auditing purposes and to help us improve the quality of our services for users.

You can delete Web History from your Google Account at any time. While signed in to your Google Account:

  1. Click the gear icon gear icon at the top of the page.
  2. Select Account settings from the drop-down menu.
  3. On your account settings page, click Web History from the list of products.
  4. Click Clear entire web history.
