Sometimes the best way to get a good fare to Greece is to find a cheap flight to anywhere on sale in Europe - and then take a short flight from there to Athens.
The current Aegean Airlines sale fits in perfectly with this strategy, with very low rates from Euro 49 each way to and from a number of European cities, including Madrid, Rome, and Frankfurt. And you have the option of landing in either Athens or Thessaloniki from many destinations.
