Help The New York Times foster
literacy, civic engagement and quality education – by making a donation
to The New York Times in Education program. Your donation will provide
The Times to schools at no charge – a service The Times has offered
since the 1930’s.
Now more than 2,500 classrooms in elementary, middle
and high schools across the country benefit from this program each year,
receiving newspaper copies or The New York Times Replica Edition online.
Teachers
use The Times to link curriculum to contemporary events, to build
critical thinking skills, as a model of good writing and as a vehicle to
spark student interest and discussion.
We also provide free
activities, lesson plans and curriculum guides to use with The Times –
on topics such as Writing Skills and Strategies, Global Economics, Human
Rights and many more.
While your donation is not tax-deductible,
it helps us continue our tradition of sharing with teachers and
students all that The Times has to offer. To learn more, please click
