WIKISPEED has designed and built the SGT01: a 100 mpg, four seat commuter car with a mid-engine and rear-wheel drive.

We have debuted our production prototype during the 2011 North American International Autoshow to more than 5,000 members of the press representing more than 60 countries.

Our 104 mpg city / 114 mpg highway gasoline vehicle is available for pre-order starting at $28,886.00 USD.

What WIKISPEED is doing:

Our green automotive-prototyping and manufacturing business has engineered and built a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, 100 mpg commuter car to road legal (U.S.) specifications.

  • We have completed Finite Element Analysis for FMVSS impact scenarios and Roush Automotive Engineering is developing our airbag system.

  • We have built an on-road test vehicle in Washington and a production prototype in Michigan.

  • We are now bringing revolutionary technology to the widest part of the market.

  • We are launching production of 100 mpg vehicles for public sale.

  • Our first test car is off the line; debuted January 11th 2011 in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) to 5,000 members of the press from 60 countries.
