Thank you for your interest, but this Toolbar Labs experiment is now over and is no longer supported. Please find uninstall instructions under "How do I uninstall Toolbar 8?". You can install the current supported version of Google Toolbar here.

Google Toolbar displays up to seven of your most visited sites as buttons. Click on a button to go directly to its site. When you download the new Google Toolbar your toolbar will display buttons for Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Youtube, Google News, Google Reader and Google Tasks by default.

Click the down arrow next to a button to access its drop-down menu. In the menu, you can select Pin to Toolbar to have a site stay on your toolbar permanently as a button (until you unpin or remove it). Click Remove from Toolbar to permanently remove a site's button from Toolbar. Your most visited sites will change according to your web browsing behavior, so to ensure you see the most useful sites as buttons use the Pin to Toolbar option.

Special button features

Some buttons have built-in gadgets that allow you to quickly access things like your Google Docs or your Google Calendar, when you click the down arrow next to these buttons. The Gmail button may show the number of unread emails in your inbox right on the button. (You'll need to be signed in to Toolbar to access these gadgets. Click the Sign in button on the right side of Toolbar to sign in with your Google Account.) For sites that provide updates via RSS feeds, you will see the three latest updates to the site in that site's drop-down menu.
