This Lab for Google Toolbar 8 is now over. Thank you from the Toolbar team for giving it a trial run and submitting useful feedback. We've learned a lot and will be incorporating these learnings into future versions of Google Toolbar.

Uninstalling Labs and re-installing Google Toolbar

To go back to using the fully supported Google Toolbar, follow these steps:

Uninstall Labs Toolbar

  1. Click the Windows Start button and open the Control Panel.
  2. Open Programs and Features (on Win 7 and Windows Vista). On Windows XP, double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  3. Scroll down and select Google Toolbar.
  4. Click Uninstall/Remove.
  5. Click Yes.

Re-install Google Toolbar

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Go to http://toolbar.google.com.
  3. Click on Install Google Toolbar.
  4. Click Accept and Install. You may be asked to restart Internet Explorer. Once you've restarted Internet Explorer, Google Toolbar will be running again.
