The Spanish Cultural Center celebrates International Book Day with a full-day event, including a book exchange, book fair and awards

The Spanish Cultural Center, the Cervantes Institute is celebrating International Book Day on 20 April.  The event includes a reading of Don Quixote in Arabic or Spanish from 12 pm till 7 pm.
A free book exchange market will be available, as well as a small book fair for bookstores and publishers, including the National Center for Translation.
There will be a celebration for the award winners of the short stories competition, organised by universities in Cairo and the photography competition "Read Everywhere" .
In addition there will be a display of the works of the late Egyptian Nobel Prize winner Naguib Mahfouz, as well as the Arabic translation of the works of Mario Vargas Llosa, the Spanish Nobel Prize winner in 2010.
The day will conclude with music, singing and refreshments.
