Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister arrives in Armenia
Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Hisashi Tokunaga on May 4.
Edward Nalbandian expressed his deepest condolences on the tragedy in Japan. The Japanese official expressed his gratitude for the words of sympathy and for assisting disaster-struck Japan.
Edward Nalbandian noted that bilateral relations are developing dynamically and Armenia attaches much importance to development of cooperation with Japan. Hisashi Tokunaga said that Armenia is hosting high-ranking Japanese official for the first time, and this visit testifies to unprecedented development of relations.
The two sides discussed bilateral issues, cooperation within international structures, UN reform. Edward Nalbandian also presented Armenia’s approaches towards resolution of regional problems.
