Kate's Second Wedding Dress

Friday April 29, 2011

nullDid you know that Kate changed into a second wedding dress for her evening reception?

The bride and groom had a very long day with the wedding ceremony at 11am, photos and appearances at 1:30 pm, a luncheon reception at 2pm, and this second evening reception starting at 7pm and presumably lasting late into the night. It must have been a relief for them to have a moment to change into fresh clothes and have some privacy. And of course, the guests all needed to change from daytime formal into evening formal.

See a larger photo of her second wedding dress, find out what Prince William wore to the evening reception, and see a picture of their wedding cake.

Is This the Best Picture from the Royal Wedding?

Before the Royal Wedding, I thought the best picture would surely be Kate Middleton in her wedding dress or perhaps Will and Kate nervously together at the altar. I even thought there might be a guest with a spectacularly bad hat. But I certainly didn't think a 3-year-old bridesmaid would steal the whole day.

Yet little Grace van Cutsem's unforgettable face as Prince William and Princess Catherine kissed on the balcony behind her is surely the most memorable shot of the day. See More Photos of Prince William and Catherine's Wedding Day

Wedding Guests' Hats

Friday April 29, 2011

Once you've gotten enough of how gorgeous Kate was in her wedding dress, the next most important part of the wedding is clearly the hats that the wedding guests wore. (Did you think it was the groom? Who's he?)

In fact so many guests wore such awesome hats that it's taking me a second to sort through them all. But you can check them out now at Gallery of Hats at the Royal Wedding.
