Who We Are

Our Membership
As a dynamic community of future foreign policy leaders, YPFP has a diverse membership that crosses the divides of national boundaries, political ideology, and employment sectors.

Our members realize that no one joins the field of foreign policy to work in a vacuum. We recognize the need for collaboration, communication, and shared learning experience. YPFP provides those valuable opportunities to our members, which is why our mission has resonated with young professionals around the globe. In just five years, YPFP has grown from a small group of friends to a global nonprofit organization with more than 5,000 members.

Our Staff
All YPFP's activites are managed by a volunteer staff of approximately 100 young professionals who plan and execute events and discussion groups, manage membership relations, and provide internal support to the organization. Ultimately, YPFP is governed by a Board of Directors. These outstanding young professionals of the Board determine the future of YPFP.

Counselors
YPFP's Counselors are a select group of seasoned and distinguished foreign policy professionals who serve as strategic advisers to YPFP's leadership and as informal mentors to promising YPFP members. The Counselors Program holds a variety of events throughout the year, such as Quarterly Strategy Roundtables that focus on addressing challenges in YPFP's growth, as well as more casual events aimed at fostering relationships between experienced foreign policy professionals and members in the early stages of their careers.
