Android Market Vs. Apple App Stores?

Saturday April 30, 2011

We always thought the Apple App Stores was held and shoulders above all the other mobile app stores, right? Well, now it seems like the Android Market may be poised to give Apple a run for their money.

According to recent reports, the number of apps in the Android Market grew by about 16 percent, whereas the App Stores registered a mere 6 percent growth within the same time period.

But then there is another thing to be considered here. Mobile app developers are a lot happier developing for the Apple iOS rather than for Android, which is highly fragmented.

So which of these is going to emerge the winner this year? Is it Android or Apple? We shall see.

Will Sony Make the Mark with their Tablets?

Wednesday April 27, 2011

Sony Corporation is working on 2 Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet devices, codenamed the S1 and the S2. The company claims that these two devices would provide the user the ultimate media experience online.

Sony also aims to target Apple with their new devices. According to sources, they would like to make it at least to the second place, after the Apple iPad. But for this, the electronics giant would first have to overwhelm a lot of biggies such as Samsung, Motorola and RIM.

What do you think about all this? Do you think Sony will make the mark with their tablets? Feel free to voice your opinions.

Is the White iPhone 4 Coming to T-Mobile USA?

Monday April 25, 2011

Many T-Mobile USA customers were always hoping to be able to get hold of the Apple iPhone. While this has not happened so far, it just has a chance of materializing in the near future.

It seems that Apple may be thinking of teaming up with T-Mobile USA to introduce their White iPhone 4. Apparently, there have been reports of spying a White iPhone 4 prototype with T-Mobile USA 3G bands.

Further information on this development is that the prototype in question is being tested on an iOS platform and features exclusively iPhone test apps as well.

So would we be seeing a T-Mobile iPhone 4 soon? Do you think the impending AT&T; acquisition of T-Mobile could be the main reason behind Apple considering such a move for the mobile carrier?

More importantly, how many among you would consider purchasing the T-Mobile iPhone 4? Feel free to express your thoughts.

Poll: Should Parents Gift Advanced Smartphones to Young Children?

Friday April 22, 2011

The latest news is that angry parents are suing the Apple App Store for letting their children make unauthorized in-app game purchases without their knowledge.

My point here is; is it at all worth gifting young children advanced smartphones such as the iPhone?
