We work for our clients, financing organisations and partners in more than 130 transition, threshold and developing countries. With more than 30 years of experience in international cooperation, we are familiar with the economic, social and political framework conditions for sustainable development. We know the people, languages, cultures and markets. GTZ is currently working with partners in around 2,700 projects to find solutions for complex structural and reform processes. We advise governments, international organisations and companies and carry out their projects as partners or on a contract basis.

As a German federal enterprise, we have an obligation to be efficient, effective and solid: in a word, reliable. A sounder partner would be hard to find.

GTZ subscribes to the ten principles of the Global Compact initiative of UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan to promote human rights, labour standards and environmental protection, and to combat corruption.
