Development partnership for the environment with Monoprix Tunesia
Monoprix is to become the first retail company in Tunisia to introduce a comprehensive environmental management system. Over the next year and a half, with the help of GTZ, it will analyse and optimise the energy efficiency and waste management systems of all 70 of its branches. The entire transportation chain will be evaluated and then reorganised with an IT platform. Training will be given to environmental advisors from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. Likewise, all Monoprix staff and the company’s most significant suppliers will receive training in in-company environmental protection. The development partnership came into being thanks to the REME Network (Reseau des Entreprises Maghrébines pour l´Environnement).
