Whether you have no Facebook friends or 900, there's no denying that social media can land you some pretty sweet hotel deals these days. So even if you're the last person in the world with a desire to Tweet or post a status update, don't rule out using social media to your advantage for fab hotel deals. For example:

• Become a fan of the Hotel Madeline Telluride's Facebook page and you can get the hotel's Friends and Family rate, with rooms for just $125 per night through June 15, 2011
• Solmar Hotels and Resorts just installed a new link on its Facebook page that offers fan-only savings and direct booking access to stunning properties on the Baja Peninsula right from the social media site.
• You can book a room without leaving the Omni Hotels & Resorts Facebook page, and can even chat live with a reservations agent if you have questions. Check their Specials section for deals like 30 percent off Memorial Day weekend stays.
• And for hotels in Miami, visit the Facebook page of Miami Hotel Deals, where rates up to 50 percent off at some of South Florida's top hotels are regularly listed.

Admit it, you've been sold on a hotel based on its website alone. If so, you're likely a very visually motivated person--and you're really going to like a new website debuted by the Starwood Preferred Guest program. The site is short on words but big on images--using resort images and live webcams to showcase some 200 properties located everywhere from Bora Bora to Cancun. The site lets you browse for destination ideas by sorting through specific interests such as golf, spas, family and honeymoons. And another cool Starwood link to check out, while you're at it, is this site detailing Starwood members' favorite resorts, which include such properties as the W Retreat & Spa on Vieques Island in Puerto Rico and The St. Regis Princeville Resort in Hawaii.

Wanderlust, I promise you, will ensue.
