John J. DeGioia, Ph.D.

Chris Augostini

Augostini is responsible for the overall financial management of the university, which includes the preparation and monitoring of the operating, capital and financing plans. In 2007, President DeGioia tasked Augostini with leading the implementation of the university’s mission in global executive education and training, which offers customized educational programs to developing leaders and other professionals around the world.

Rev. Philip L. Boroughs, S.J.
vice president for mission and ministry

As Georgetown's first vice president for mission and ministry Boroughs oversees the campus ministries on all three Georgetown campuses. Boroughs also develops and staffs programs that promote the Catholic and Jesuit character of Georgetown with faculty, staff, students, alumni and a number of university boards.

Spiros Dimolitsas, Ph.D.
senior vice president and chief administrative officer

Dimolitsas is responsible for the overall leadership, management and organization of the university’s administrative affairs.

Howard Federoff, M.D., Ph.D.
executive vice president for health sciences and executive dean of the School of Medicine

Federoff, who also is executive vice president of Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC) is responsible for advancing the center’s educational and research missions and for working effectively with the leadership of MedStar Health, its clinical partner. GUMC comprises the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing & Health Studies, the Biomedical Graduate Research Organization.

Rosemary Kilkenny, J.D.
vice president for institutional diversity and equity

Kilkenny leads efforts to create an inclusive academic and work environment at Georgetown. IDEAA also works to promote understanding and appreciation among the diverse members of the university community to create equality in educational, employment and contracting opportunities.

R. Bartley Moore
vice president for advancement

Moore oversees the offices of alumni relations, advancement services, development, Medical Center development and Law Center development. This includes leading strategic initiatives to support the university's capital campaign and fundraising efforts.

James J. O’Donnell, Ph.D.
executive vice president of Main Campus and provost

O’Donnell is the chief academic and administrative officer for the Main Campus. O’Donnell is also a member of the Georgetown classics department, where he focuses on the cultural history of the late antique Mediterranean world and the application of technology in higher education.

Paul O'Neill
chief operating officer for advancement

O'Neill oversees the offices of alumni relations, advancement services, development, Medical Center development and Law Center development. This includes leading strategic initiatives to support the university's capital campaign and fundraising efforts.

Daniel R. Porterfield, Ph.D.
senior vice president for strategic development

Porterfield leads efforts to represent and promote the university, including its faculty, students, programs and policies to the general public, the media, local and federal governments and neighboring communities. He also oversees the development of new initiatives and programs designed to carry forward the mission of Georgetown University.

William Treanor, J.D., Ph.D.
executive vice president and dean of the Law Center

Treanor, who is also university executive vice president for Law Center affairs, is the chief academic and administrative officer of the Law Center. He provides leadership and management of the Law Center’s academic and research programs and supervises the daily operations of its professional staff. The Law Center is pre-eminent in several areas, including constitutional, international, tax and clinical law, and the full-time faculty is one of the largest in the nation. Drawing on the University’s Jesuit heritage, it has a strong tradition of public service and is dedicated to the principle that law is but a means, justice is the end.  Located at the foot of Capitol Hill in the heart of the nation’s capital, it offers unparalleled access to the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Department of Justice and the D.C. Courts. 

Stephanie Tsacoumis
vice president and general university counsel

Tsacoumis is responsible for the provision of legal services to Georgetown on a range of issues that arise in the daily operation of the university. Her office is also responsible for engaging, coordinating and supervising the services of outside law firms for specialized legal needs.
