Saudi Novelist to Speak at AUC Forum

The AUC Forum presents, “Rebellion in Saudi Female Literature: Zeinab Hefni and her Novels as Example,” by Saudi writer and poet Zeinab Hefni. Discussants will be Yasmine Farouk, Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University and Ezzedine Choukri Fishere, political science professor, AUC and secretary-general, Egyptian Supreme Council of Culture. The forum will be moderated by Bahgat Korany, director of AUC Forum and professor of international relations.

Nobel Laureate Ahmed Zewail to Inaugurate Zewail Foundation Public Lecture Series at AUC

Nobel laureate Ahmed Zewail, Linus Pauling Chair professor of chemistry and professor of physics at the California Institute of Technology, and member of AUC’s Board of Trustees, will deliver the first lecture of the Zewail Foundation Public Lecture Series in Science and Culture, established by the Zewail Foundation for Knowledge and Development.  The lecture will be titled, “Misr Al Amal,” (Egypt is the Hope), and will be delivered in Arabic.
