Finance Minister: Tunisia counts on friendly countries' support

TUNIS (TAP) - Finance Minister Jalloul Ayed said, in an international forum, held on May 21 in Paris, on the "Middle East and North Africa (MEAN)" that Tunisia, always open onto the world economy, counts on the support of its friends for its successful transition to democracy.

TUNIS (TAP) - The World Bank released, on Tuesday, a report showing marked slowdown of economic growth at 3.6 % in 2011 in the Middle East and North Africa region, down from previously forecast 5%.

Zoellick announced up to 6 billion dollars in new Bank support over the next two years for Egypt and Tunisia linked to progress made by the two post-revolutionary countries in modernising their economies so they provide more opportunities for their people.
First "employment-training" cheques handed to 7 Tunisian firms

TUNIS (TAP) - Seven Tunisian enterprises were handed, on Monday, the first "employment-training" cheques to train 17 young people, as part of a vocational training funding mechanism for the benefit of Tunisians from the underprivileged regions.
